If anyone is still here after the long, boring tutorial here's your reward. Now that Roxas is merged with Sora again we can finally get down to business. Though we definitely need a wardrobe update since Sora's clearly outgrown his old goofy getup. So we need to pay a visit to some old wizard who can kit us up. Once we're done I'm sure that we won't be seeing Yen Sid in this franchise ever again.

Here we are at last, currently the best of the Kingdom Hearts franchise. Though it certainly doesn't start off that way with one of the longest, most boring and tedious tutorial levels in gaming before Persona 4 showed up. Now I love this game but boy does it take forever to get to the good stuff. Now there's nothing wrong with Roxas as a character but this was the last way you could have introduced him, attached to one of the worst tutorials in gaming. Consider this and the next article your initiation, only when you've seen Roxas and his adventures in the Matrix can you see the good stuff.

Ok, lets get this out of the way right now.
Yes the Happytime Murders seems to have taken more then a fair bit of inspiration from this season 1 Family Guy joke about childhood puppet icons in a gritty crime drama. But where this was a four minute gag The Happytime Murders is at least an hour and a half long but thankfully doesn't overstay its welcome. Though given the length I still feel it honestly could have gone a little bit further in terms of the comedy. But what we have is more then serviceable as far as a high concept dirty comedy is concerned. Not bad for what's essentially Who Framed Roger Rabbit mixed with Let my Puppets Come. (Yes that is a real movie.)
The premise is that this is an alternate universe where Puppets are fully sentient but are considered second class citizens. But hey on the plus side there's apparently no human racism because it doesn't matter who you are, as long as you're not a puppet you're good. Our main character is a Puppet PI named Phil Philips (played by Bill Barretta) whose brother was a cast member on a groundbreaking puppet sitcom called the Happytime Gang that is about to be released for syndication. But the original cast members start getting killed off once by one, including Phil's brother so he's recruited by the L.A PD as a consultant to solve the case. But he has to deal with not only normal puppet discrimination but also his bitter Ex Partner Connie Edwards (Played by Melissa McCarthy) to solve the mystery before any more of his old friends die.
The initial premise has a fair bit of comedic potential and some of the gags are out there yet grounded so that we can see the parallels between the Puppets situations and how it correlates to the real world. Also the fact that these normally depressing and disgusting acts are being done by Henson quality puppets adds to the absurdity and the humor. I'm not going to go into too much detail but I will say this, after this movie you'll never look at cows the same way again. Either way this has childhood puppets doing fucked up shit, basically a Robot Chicken movie. Though not quite as hilarious as that show but then again I guess we could have just been spoiled by shows like Robot Chicken for a long time, maybe if this came out in like the early 2000's this movie might have been seen as groundbreaking but as it is it's still a Funtime regardless.
But some critics who really didn't take too kindly to this movie have even gone on to call this "The Worst Movie of all time". Now I'm not naming names but really, the worst movie of all time? Worse then Manos the Hands of Fate (Non MST3K version), worse then Gerry, worse then Cyrus, worse then the Castle of Fu Man Chu, worse then North, worse then anything produced by Happy Madison or Pure Flix? Yeah ok, no no no no no no that is 100% bullshit. This is just a dirty comedy, not every movie with the slightest hint of subversion has to be this biting gripping social commentary.
Though the critics at least have to admit that the puppetry in this movie is top tier. I haven't seen a whole lot of puppet based entertainment as the rest of my body of work would indicate but I recognize good craftsmanship when I see it. With a combination of Green screen and actual puppets this movie really convinced me that these puppets were really moving of their own accord, essentially a modern update of Bunraku, though admiringly with the green screen and CGI helping it is kind of cheating but still has the same principal from what I can tell. Especially with some of the more physical comedy bits I could hardly tell there was a puppeteer on set. Sure it's not the same with every shot with a puppet in it where you could easily guess where the puppeteer is hiding but definitely with the more complicated sequences you can see the genuine Henson talent behind the strings.
Besides I'll always take actual, physical props that the actors can interact with over unconvincing, cheap CGI any day. Also keep in mind at the time of writing this article I saw BlacKkKlansman in the same week that I saw this movie, I've got more then my fair share of social commentary for a while. From what I can tell you this is just what the Doctor ordered after watching something that close to home. When I read these main stream critic's complaints I'm reminded of something that another subversion of childhood icons said.
It reminds me of one summer day in the park. I was having just a delightful picnic with my good friend Orville. And I said to him, I said, 'Orville, I...I have a story.' And he said to me, 'What's the significance of the story?' And...I said to him, 'Orville, not every story has to have significance, y'know? Sometimes, a...y'know, sometimes, a story's just a story. You try to read into every little thing, and find meaning in everything anyone says, you'll just drive yourself crazy. Had a friend do it once. Wasn't pretty. We talked about it for years. And then not only that, but...you'll likely end up believing something you shouldn't believe, thinking something you shouldn't think, o-o-or assuming something you shouldn't assume. Y'know? Sometimes,' I said, 'a story is-is just a story, so just be quiet for one second of your life and eat your sandwich, okay?'
Though the more I think about it I can't help but think that the critics who slam this movie are continuing the joke of the movie. Namely the discrimination against puppets. I mean think about it, the puppets are treated like dirt all throughout the movie, especially with Phil in regards to his backstory and now we have real life critics tearing this movie, the first mainstream R rated Puppet movie (as far as I know) to shreds because not a freaking Muppet movie or some crap like that, I honestly can't help but think that that's the case. Now like Mr Hippo said I could be reading too much into this but I can't help it; it just kind of makes sense to me. Either way with the reception this movie's gotten I wouldn't be surprised if it emerges as some sort of cult movie or something, kind of like UHF or Buckaroo Banzai.
I could honestly be wrong about all of this but again I'm just an average dude trying to tell everyone to ignore the critics and see a movie where puppets make dick jokes for god's sake. Now don't get me wrong sometimes critics are 100% right, but not every movie the critics slam is a Michal Bay Transformers movie sometimes you just have to bite the bullet and judge it for yourself. You can listen to my advice or you can flat out ignore me, either way it's all up to you as long as you've seen it and judge by your own perspective. This might not have been the intent of the Happytime Murders but that's what I got out of it. Next week we'll be finishing up my review of Kamen Rider Heisei Generations Final, look forward to it.

Here we are again with new Ni no Kuni 2 content. Also this was for free I'm guessing to make up for how long the Season Pass stuff is taking to make (full disclosure didn't pick that up thankfully.) But for now we have an ancient evil dragon stirring and we have to take it out. But before hand we have to claim ancient weapons from an ancient attendant of the Gods. But before that we have to summon her by proving her worth to some ancient Chuck e Cheese token, it ain't easy being the King.
(Side note, I later beat Blackhart on Expert on my own time; thank you RNJesus.)

At long long last we finally made it to the actually relevant plot points of this play through. Riku finally takes down Lexeaus, Zexion, the Replica (for now apparently) and Ansem (for now anyway.) He finally starts to try and set things right with Sora by long after him while Naminé gets to work on fixing his memory while in stasis. While Riku may still have the powers of Darkness he seems to have a firm grasp on them so that it won't drive him cray cray again, and besides Mickey will be there to keep him on track. At least until 358/2 Days where he starts to lose control and has to do the whole Zatōichi schtick, but hey, baby steps.

Ok here we are again with Part two of my review of Heisei Generations Final (not really Final but just shut up). Want to know what happened in Part 1? Here you go, enjoy.
Caught up? Good now we can get going to the good stuff, you know the stuff like on the poster right above us, yeah that stuff. We get the ball rolling with Emu finally having enough of sitting one the sidelines and decides to look for Enigma. Back in Build's Earth the titular rider is fighting off the Nebula Bugsters while Parado evacuates the nearby civilians. Eventually this draws out the blue Gear monster; Left Kaiser out of hiding and he attacks Build to keep him from destroying his Nebula Bugsters.
Cranky Kong manages to overpower Build so he pulls out the Fullbottles Stark gave him earlier and transforms into PhoenixRobo form and regains his footing with him forcing Cranky to retreat. But thankfully Sento's smart and in the confusion placed a tracker on him. As Sento and Parado follow the signal to Cranky's hideout Sento learns the secret behind Muteki Gamer's power and it all falls into place for him, the reason why Katsuragi went after Ex-Aid and stole his power was to prepare for this scenario. He knew that Enigma would disable the Gamer Drivers so he had to refine the power of Ex-Aid into the Fullbottles so he could defeat the Nebula Bugsters and Kaisei.
On the main Earth Takeru delivers the Build Gashats to the three remaining CR riders who can finally do some real damage against the Nebula Bugsters. Even Takeru gets in on the action, though for some stupid reason he doesn't use the Ex-Aid Eyecon that he got at the end of his series which we saw during last year's movie is more then capable of hurting Bugsters. Guessing the costume was scrapped or something stupid like that. Speaking of stupid Emu and Bank try their hardest against the Nebula Bugster but another Earthquake causes Banjo to fall into one of the worst green screen shots I've ever seen.
No this is not just a cheap Photoshop job that I did, this was seriously in the movie. How was it that Power Rangers Lost Galaxy did a similar shot yet do it much better back in 1999 then this movie did in 2017?
Emu tries to pull Banjo up but isn't strong enough, thankfully the king of the Underpants Gnomes; Eiji Hino shows up to pull him up. After the two saves Banjo from the MST3K joke Eiji fills them in on who's behind Funky and Cranky's world merger and no it's not Shocker, Decade, Alexander Luthor nor Ouma, it's actually Foundation X. Yes apparently Toei remembered that this group exists since Shirakura wasn't involved in this movie's production so they could actually use this great idea instead of it just being Shocker for the 1000000000000000th time. Now you might be thinking "how did Foundation X learn about the Bugster virus to even infuse them with Nebula Gas for this plan?" Well for those who're in the know, during the events of the Kamen Rider Brave Special a member of Foundation X managed to get his hands on the Night of Safari Gashat, so that explains the Bugster cultivation, as for the Nebula Gas it's pretty damn obvious, Funky and Cranky are collaborating; so Build Earth Kaisei provides the Nebula Gas and Main Earth Kaisei uses Foundation X's Bugster research to merge the two components together as well as create the Kaiser systems.
But that's enough babble time for action. Sento and Parado find Cranky's hideout while Eiji leads Emu and Banjo to Funky's base. The two groups manage to reach their respective Kongs where there's exposition and revelations abound. In Cranky's case it's that he apparently was brought into the Borg collective judging by his face being fried by Kastusragi's betrayal and that once Enigma merges the two worlds together he'll merge with his main Earth self and they'll become a god or something. But how the hell would that even work?
That's not an explanation! I'll get back to this later but suffice to say, these two are idiots. Funky's little surprise is that he brought a few Foundation X projects with him, reproductions of four Zodiarch Astro Switches and a set of Greeed Core Metals including Ankh's (minus the purple ones obviously) which he revives and sicks on the three riders. Emu and Banjo deal with the main Greeed while Eiji gets an idea with the Dummy Ankh and inserts the real Ankh's broken main core medal into the fake allowing Ankh to temporarily regain his physical form. I say temporarily because of the events of Movie War Mega Max where Ankh came back from about 40 years in the future where he was revived completely and I don't know about you but we're not there quite yet despite what Eiji thinks. But that doesn't matter because after the revived Ankh steals a tiger and grasshopper medal from the Dummy Kazari and Uva; Eiji can transform into Kamen Rider OOO again.
OOO frees up Emu and Banjo to deal Funky while he and his revived red bird bro finish off the Dummy Greeed and reclaim the Core Medals. Funky transforms into Right Kaiser and fights Cross-Z to a stand still, he tries to kill the two while getting away with the Zodiarch switches but the two are saved by the returning Kamen Rider Fourze. Yeah we've actually been seeing J.K and Ohsugi in the background observing all these events so far which is how he knew to show up here and back his buds up. Now before you mention that the Fourze driver was tossed into a smelter in Movie War Ultimatum, you'd be correct but apparently this movie takes place before Ultimatum. Though the real reason why the Driver's still here is that the assistant Director for this movie wrote on Twitter saying that he forgot that the driver was destroyed by this point. I'm guessing that there's going to be some special later that fills in this plot hole.
Regardless we have what may be the last canonical appearance of Fourze so they're gonna milk it for all its worth. After Gentaro introduces himself he brings them to Amanogawa High School where according to J.K; Funky brought Enigma to since it was a huge focal point for Space Energy which could be utilized to amplify its power. But they're stopped by Dummy versions of the Leo, Virgo, Cancer and Scorpio Zodiarts. Gentaro transforms into Fourze again and during the course of the fight destroys Enigma's cloaking system. While Fourze holds off the last two Zodiarts Emu charges right to the device.
On Build's Earth Parado and Sento head back to where Banjo was but don't find Enigma. But what they do find is Fruit Jesus himself; Kouta Kazuraba who reveals their Enigma which starts spilling out thousands of Foundation X Guardian Robots. Kouta transforms into Gaim giving Sento and Parado time to infiltrate Enigma while he brings down the wrath of god on the bots. Both Sento and Emu make it to the control consoles of their respective Enigmas and activate the devices starting the world merger.
Wait a minute, this all seems really familiar.
Oh god, if Superboy Prime suddenly shows up and starts killing everyone while screaming I didn't mean it I'm out of here.

Here we are, the last of the normal card worlds. No more repetitive waves of Heartless, not more rehashes of bosses I already beat, we can finally get to the main meat of Riku's Story. Another good thing about this? No more decks that are quite literally stacked against me to work with. We also get to see some more behind the scenes shenanigans concerning the Replica. But enough of that let's get this over with.

AS Riku continues down his walk down memory lane the Organization makes its move on him to counter the traitors. After tangling with Riku Vexen creates the Replica that later gives Sora so much trouble in the main story, but not before testing himself out on the real thing. Despite conquering the world cards Ansem doesn't think Riku's going to live up to his proclamations so he gives him even more world cards to stumble around in. Which means more grinding, more boss fights and even longer worlds. You know, the darkness doesn't sound all that bad right now.

Another year, another Kamen Rider crossover movie that doesn't make you want to rip your hair out. Which is good because just like last year's Heisei Generations it's actually cannon with this year's series; Build taking place between episodes 14 and 15 and before the True ending movies for Ex-Aid that I reviewed last month. So if you haven't caught up on Build then watch and come back because this not only fills in some plot-holes but also introduces certain elements that were reintroduced into the show proper. Also, in case you forgot here's the links to last year's Heisei Generations movie.
Now that you're hopefully all caught up we open on Sento waking up from a dream where he; as Build comes across Ex-Aid and extracts his element after taking out Paradox. Puzzling to be sure but here comes a quick pick me up in the form of two new Fullbottles, Doctor and Game. He asks Misora what's with the double deal but she doesn't know anymore then he does and according to her watch it's "fuck this shit O'clock" and she takes a nice long nap.
In the topside Cafe Nascita, the usual shenanigans are going on. As he and Banjo Ryuga (Kamen Rider Cross-Z) shoot the shit Banjo tells Sento that the Ex-Aid bottle was real leaving Sento more confused then he'd care to admit. Sento gets an alert of a Smash attack and rushes to the scene finding off color Bugster foot solders instead. Sento and Banjo transform into Build and Cross-Z but find that they can't damage the Bugsters, until Sento uses the Doctor and Game Fullbottles to gain the power of Ex-Aid, and just like Decade when Build uses Legendary Rider Fullbottles he takes on the appearance of the Rider along with the powers which he uses to wipe out the Bugsters. As Banjo tries to use a new power up Build gets knocked out by a blue gear monster who takes the Ex-Aid bottles.
Banjo chases the monster to the Dam where he finds a giant metal hand that the monster calls Enigma, which according to him can grant him access to other dimensions.
Admittingly it's not the most conspicuous way of traveling between worlds.
Though it's probably just as ridiculous any method I've encountered so far.
But hey if it gets the job done then who cares really?
After trying and failing to explain the multiverse theory to Cross-Z the Gear monster decides to give him a first hand experience and chucks him into Enigma. Build finally catches up to the monster who runs away after shorting out. We cut over to the main Toei Earth where we find Banjo dumped into a literal land of confusion as he sees the Skywall is gone. But his confusion is quickly replaced with horror once the two worlds start to collide; both figuratively and literally!
Now I'm no doctor but you don't need to have played "Operation" to tell you that if one of those is cracked, you've got some major problems.
It's not just our heroes who notice Earth's extra landscape but also Rule 63 Madokami, a whiny ghostbuster, a hobo with an underwear fixation and a teacher with a silly hairdo. Earthquakes start happening on Main Earth releasing Nebula Gas as well as the Blue Bugsters from before that go on a rampage infecting anyone they come across making more Bugsters. After the title card Emu and Kujo make it to the scene. Emu tries to transform but since Build stole Ex-Aid's elements he can't. Thankfully Hiiro, Taiga and Kujo are still active so they transform to fight off the forces while Emu, Nico and Poppy evacuate the civilians.
After the Bugsters are taken care of the riders find the one responsible, a red version of the blue gear monster from Build's world called Right Kaiser. Funky Kong admits that not only is he responsible for the Nebula Bugsters but that they'll serve as the energy for Enigma which is drawing the earth together so closely that both sides can see the alternate Earths in their skies!
As if an apocalyptic event like that wasn't bad enough; Hiiro, Taiga and Kujo can't transform again due to Enigma somehow disrupting their Gamer Drivers and Gashats, but Funky's still in tip top shape. He does the smart thing and tries to kill them in their powerless state but Kamen Rider Ghost shows up and saves the CR team forcing Funky to peace out after telling them that the world is doomed in 24 hours. But since they don't have Jack Bauer they're pretty much screwed. At a makeshift shelter Emu thanks Takeru and Onari (who for some reason is dressed like Jigen from Lupin the 3rd with an afro) for their help but Banjo arrives asking about the Skywall and Emu thinks he's Build since he sees him wearing the Build Driver.
He stops when he starts to hear Parado's voice whose currently shaking down Sento to return Ex-Aid's power. Apparently Parado's been trying to find Build for 2 years when it's later revealed that he's only been gone for a week in the main earth. Blood Stark shows up to do what pretty much every main show villain is reduced to in these movies, play the exposition buddy. In this case he explains about the Nebula Bugsters, that they're Bugsters infected with Nebula Gas and that only the power of Ex-Aid's riders can destroy them. He also tells Parado that he can communicate with Emu by holding the Game Fullbottle to his ear like a phone, how he knows it can do that is never explained.
No, this is the boss DiavoOOOOOH DAMN IT YOU KNOW WHO I AM NOW I HAVE TO KILL YOU!!!
It does work and the two compare notes with Ex-Aid's group deciding that the Nebula Bugsters take top priority. Back with Sento and Parado; Stark tells them about a thesis paper that talked about using the Skywall to gain access to parallel worlds published by a former Touto government researcher named Kaisei Mogami and that he might be the mastermind behind the world merger. He leave behind the Robot and Phoenix Fullbottles as a little gift before walking off to cash his cameo check. Speaking of villains back on the main earth the God Dan Kuroto's been released from his tablet to take on the Nebula Bugsters using the Kamen Rider Build Gashat that he made at the end of the series. It does work allowing him to transform into Genm Level X, but when it powers down after only 23 seconds he just devolves into a Tom and Jerry cartoon, shocking I know.
It's not much but it's a start and only after Onari plays into Kuroto's God complex does he get started on creating more Build Gashats for the others. Back on Earth B Sento gets the info about Kaisei from Gentoku. Apparently he discovered the Bugster virus 10 years prior and used that as the basis for his Parallel worlds theory and began his research into Enigma. But the government obviously thought he was full of crap so Kaisei left to work for Nanba Heavy Industries. This information was provided to the Touto Government by his old assistant, Takumi Katsuragi.
While he was with Nanba; Kaisei discovered a way to utilize the Bugster virus in conjunction with Nebula Gas to create the Kaiser system. However to power Enigma he needed much more of the Bugster virus to power it. Afterwords, after Katsuragi helped him complete these two devices Kaisei disappeared with the blueprints. This is confirmed when Sento discovers the research from Takumi's research files, including his many visits to Ex-Aid's world using Enigma. With this piece of information Sento learns that Takumi was the Build who stole Ex-Aids elements.

So now that we've completed Sora's campaign 99% (yes I'll show it completely finished later) we get Riku's run through the Castle. In some ways it's better while also being worse. On the one hand we have no cards to collect aside from the room cards and we get preassigned decks with each world. But on the other hand we get little to no story until the very end of the run and are left with killing every single Heartless we come across. If it wasn't for the story starting Riku's redemption and coming to terms with his horrible past deeds then this mode would have been an absolute horrible slog.

Here are at the end of Sora's campaign. Which is also the best level in the game for several reasons. First when you start you get the Trinity Limit Sleight which just practically annihilates every enemy on screen for little to no cost, second we get the chance to earn the Neoshadow enemy card which slowly drains enemies health, so combine that with the Trinity Limit and standard Heartless are no longer a problem. Though one turn off is that since this is the last level in Sora's campaign it has the highest EXP from Heartless, which means to get to level 100 you have to fight the same enemies over and over again, it gets tedious really fast. But now that Marluxia is gone (for now) we can finally move on to Riku's side of this story.

It's here, it's here, it's finally here! Season 7 of one of my few favorite shows on Tv. Now despite the humor and great characters this show is very serialized and has tons of backstory, not as massive and cryptic as FNAF but it would really help if you saw every episode from the beginning. But I'm aware that not everyone has the time for that (but seriously make it this show is totally worth it) and thankfully Adult Swim realized that as well so they had Henchman 21 (aka the most badass nerd character on par with Travis Touchdown) make these videos to give reaps of seasons 1-5 leaving me to give the details of last season. So here's seasons 1-4 in less then 8 minutes.
Now for season 5.
Now here's where I come in. So after the Gargantua 2 fiasco Doc's inherited Ventech Industries from J.J and like the classic little fuck up that he is, fires all of the board members and starts spending company money on him, Hank and Dean so of course the stocks drop like a stone elephant. J.J's #2 The Captain tries desperately to get Doc under control and eventually he and Doc reach a compromise after Dean steps up to the plate and after the Captain kicks his addiction to tranquilizer darts again. How it works now is the Captain handles the public face of the company while Rusty indulges in super science tinkering, so he's Iron Man. But what about the Captain, how'd he fall off the wagon?
Well the Monarch shoots him with one while he and Gary flee scoping the Ventech building. Though at that point, Venture's off the list for the Monarch for three reasons. First, because of Doc's new CEO status he's bumped up the priority list for O.S.I security (side note that means Brock's back guarding the Ventures) now you might be thinking "like that's ever stopped the Monarch before" but that was when he had his flying Cocoon, an army of elite henchmen, Gary, Dr Mrs The Monarch and his Monarch-mobile; but the cocoon was destroyed by Hatred with most if not all of his henchmen on board which means he, the Mrs and Gary had to move into the Monarch's old rundown Mansion in Newark New Jersey. Which leads us to 2, after that, Monarchs E.M.A (equally matched aggression) level went from 9 or a 10 to a 4, Rusty's now classified as a 10, do the math. Speaking of 10, 3 Venture's arching rights were given to the most influential member of the New York chapter of the Guild; Wide Wale as a peace offering to convince him to join the regrowing Council of 13 (more like Council of 5, later 7 which is just Dr Mrs the Monarch, Phantom Limb, Radical Left, Red Mantle/Dragoon and Dr Z, Dr Phineas Pahge later rejoins and Vendata is still MIA since the Don Hell fiasco) which he in turn divvied up to a bunch of other Level 10 villains underneath him.
Needless to say this along with renovating the house has put a major strain on The Monarch and his wife's marriage. Also it gets simultaneously better and worse, while the Monarch and Gary try to convince some of the level 10's to pass on arching Venture they stumble across the lair of the Monarch's Dad, a member of Team Venture; The Blue Morpho who's basically a blue Green Hornet (aka the original intention for Blue Beatle by his creator.) So Monarch figured that if he and Gary become the new Blue Morpho and Kano they could go around and kill all the Level 10's without anyone knowing it's him. But as you could imagine, dead villains means the Guild is out for Blood, especially given the history of the Blue Morpho as the junkyard dog of Team Venture and being dead for years they obviously smell something rotten. Coincidentally Dr Mrs the Monarch is heading the investigation not knowing that the man she's trying to kill to potentially save her husband; is her husband.
Now killing these villains is nothing to a nut-bar like the Monarch but Gary on the other hand is not taking this well, on top of his existing mental health issues after the death of 24. Not helping is that the Monarch often has Gary as Kano go around killing some of the arches while he's with his wife to maintain his cover. So on top of his previous hallucinations Gary's going to need some serious therapy. Though this only stopped because they messed with the absolute wrong villain. That being Red Death, the most professional villain still in the game, he's basically like if Mr Rogers became a horseman of the apocalypse and had plastic surgery to look like the Red Skull, simultaneously the sweetest guy you'd ever meet, a loving husband and father while also being a living, breathing nightmare for those who're on his hit list.
When the two tried to take him out, it backfired but instead of killing them Red Death just had a talk with the two and convinced them to give up on their crusade, after cleaning up one of Gary's messes. As for Hank and Dean they're adapting to big city life as Hank and Dean do. Dean's struggling with college life since he's, well, Dean and has nothing but outdated facts in his head thanks to his learning bed thing. As for Hank, he's started getting odd jobs and he's got a girlfriend, Sirena Ong, Wide Wale's daughter, yeah he's basically the first guy Sirena's meet who wasn't a playboy D-bag and isn't intimidated by her dad's overprotectiveness or his Guido henchmen. Billy and Pete aren't out of the fun either since their company was sold to Ventech after it was sold to their arch Augustus St Cloud over a prop from a Duran-Duran video.
Hatred's still hanging around too even though he was officially taken off the job with Brock resigned, so he's now their front desk security guard, basically as useful as boobs on a bull. Speaking of Brock aside from being back with the Venture's he's got his own issues. His first night in the city Brock tangled with the local Super heroes. One of which is an Amazon named Warriana and after some shenanigans with God Gas the two started to develop a relationship. She's possibly the first woman Brock's met that can actually challenge him and not jerk him around.
We haven't heard from Dr Orpheus and the Order of the Triad since season 5 but they'll be coming back this season so there's that to look forward too and hopefully we'll see The Alchemist and Shore Leave make their thing official. So that's about it as far as major story recap is concerned the rest is hijinks, insanity, speed-suits and Christopher Lambert. The characters are still hilarious and interesting, the writing is still top notch and Doc seems to finally have it together, he might suck as a scientist still sponging off of J.J but he's pretty much financially secure as long as he lets the Captain do his thing and stop experimenting with Mind control gas. If you haven't seen the Venture Bros yet, fix that A.S.A.P it's honestly one of the best shows Adult Swim has right now aside from Rick and Morty. So tune in, laugh and GO TEAM VENTURE!!!

Now things are starting to get serious, especially since we now have to deal with three of the hardest boss fights in Sora's Campaign. First there's Vexen and the only good thing about him (aside from his voice actor despite voicing Elgar once upon a time, hey a role's a role) is his enemy card which is an instant addition to the deck along with Oogie Boogie. Next is the Destiny Islands where thanks to Sora's brainwashing has to do it without Donald and Goofy because they dared to challenge his delusion, but again brainwashed so it gets a pass. But after Naminé spills the beans we have to fight "Riku" one last time, and finally we get to shut Larxine's mean girl mouth once and for all. (Until it's revealed she'll be back in Kingdom Hearts 3 as a Xehanort.
